Weltknotentag am 18.09.2022

Zu Ehren von Clifford W. Ashley feiert die International Guild of Knot Tyers seit 2018 den 18. September als Weltknotentag (engl. World Knot Tying Day). Denn der Weltknoten hat sich die Förderung des Knotenbindens auf die Fahnen geschrieben. Segler und Seefahrer gebrauchen den Knoten und ihre Abwandlungen am nötigsten. So dürften schätzungsweise auch über 90 Prozent der Knoten aus der Seefahrerei stammen. ***************************************************************** In honor of Clifford W.
