At Blingee, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

 

Sign Up and Notifications

When you sign up for Blingee, you provide us with your email address.  We use this to administer your account. 

 

As part of the Blingee community, you may wish to receive email notifications when events happen.  You can control what notifications you receive under PREFERENCES on your Account Settings page here: http://blingee.com/account/settings

 

Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you use Blingee, we may automatically collect some information. For example, it is standard for your Web browser to automatically send information to every Web site you visit, including ours. Such information includes your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, access times, browser type and language, and referring Web site addresses. We also collect information about your computer's operating system and information about your usage and activity on the site.

 

Like many websites, we also use “cookie” technology to collect website usage data and to improve Blingee. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk. Blingee uses cookies to keep track of items you add to your Goodie Bag and to keep logged in users logged in when you surf between pages of the site.

 

You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies from Blingee, you may not be able to utilize the features to their fullest potential.

 

Blingee Activities

When you make a Blingee, you upload your photos to our servers.  If you wish to remove a photo from Blingee, you can permanently delete the Blingee as follows: From the Blingee View Page select 'Edit Description', then 'Delete This Blingee' from the top toolbar.

 

When you engage with Blingee.com as a member of the community, we keep track of your activity.  This includes the Blingees and Stamps you contribute and like, the friends you make, your comments, the challenges and competitions you enter, the spotlights you enter, the credits you purchase, the groups you join and the badges you earn.  These are all part of the Blingee experience.  You can view this information from your account dashboard here: http://blingee.com/account/dashboard

 

If you do not wish to have your Blingee community information tracked, you can create Blingees without registering or signing into your account.

 

If at any point you no longer wish Blingee to retain your information, you can request your account be deleted from the bottom of your Account Settings page here:  http://blingee.com/account/settings

 

USE OF INFORMATION

 

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information to:

 

1.       Deliver the Blingee experience and prevent community abuse.

2.       Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis

3.       Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.

4.       Communicate with you.

5.       Offer new products, services, mobile applications, and/or recommendations to you.

6.       Perform other business activities as needed.

 

At Blingee, the community helps to monitor the site for offensive content.  These Blingee Moderators are voluntary.  If you choose to become a Moderator, we will collect additional information from you including your name, and track your moderation activity. If you do not wish us to collect this information, please do not become a moderator.

 

INFORMATION WE SHARE

 

One way you can use Blingee.com is to share your Blingees with other sites such as Facebook or Twitter.  If you choose to share to other sites, we will deliver your Blingees to them on your request, along with any necessary account information.  If you do not wish for this information to be shared, please do not choose to share your Blingees directly from Blingee.com.

 

Blingee has integrated the Facebook Like button. If you “Like” a Blingee by pressing the Facebook Like Button, this information will be shared with Facebook.  Please do not use the Like Button if you do not wish this information to be shared.

  

Blingee earns money through advertising in partnership with Google. You can control the information collected by Google by going to this site: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/partner-sites/

 

Blingee may contain links to other third-party websites of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from Blingee.

We use Google Analytics to keep track of user behavior to improve the effectiveness and performance of the site.
