That Girl Marilyn

This is a photograph of Marilyn taken by photographer and one of her friends, Milton Greene. I love his pictures he took of Marilyn, they are some of the best ever made of her. Marilyn and Milton also were business partners and founders of Marilyn Monroe Productions. MMP released two of Marilyn's finest movies "Bus Stop" and "The Prince and the Showgirl". However due to Marilyn's third husband, playwrite Arthur Miller, the friendship between Marilyn and Milton ended after Miller said Milton Greene took (financial) advance of her (which was not exactly true). At the end of Marilyn's life the two of them decided to refresh their old friendship and were even planning to make a photobook (of Marilyn) together. However, Marilyn died and that was the end of the story. Milton Greene never profited from the images he took of his friend. Years after his death, his son Joshua published a photobook full of Milton's beautiful pictures of Marilyn titled "Milton's Marilyn".
