Happy February Birthday by Joyful226

Happy February Birthday by Joyful226
I stopped by to wish you a Very Happy Birthday. She is playing your song. "Happy Birthday To you Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday God bless you Happy Birthday to you." Your Birthstone is the Amethyst Here is the poem for February called the “Amethyst”. "The February born shall find Sincerity and peace of mind, Freedom from passion and from care, If they, the amethyst will wear." Meaning of Amethyst is associated - stability, peace, balance, courage, inner strength, sincerity, and a calm disposition. The healing properties of the February birthstone are reputed to be effective for health problems relating to the withdrawal symptoms of any sort of addiction, headaches, insomnia, arthritis, pain relief, circulatory system issues, and general healing. The Amethyst is also referred to as the “sobriety stone" as it was once believed to prevent drunkenness and used to treat alcoholism and other types of addictions. The Amethyst: Is a popular gem used in jewelry. It has long been viewed as a stone of royalty and was associated with pharaohs, emperors, kings, and cardinals. The Amethyst was mostly utilized in crowns, scepters, and the rings of bishops. Wear or carry an Amethyst for spiritual protection, relieving anger and purification to still one’s thoughts and to clear one’s space of negative influences and attachments. Amethyst is found in the Bible in Ex 28:19, 39:12, Rev 21:20 The Amethyst is a variety of quartz that is best known for it's rich, violet-purple hue. The color can vary in intensity from a pale, almost pinkish (mauve) color to a dark purplish violet. The Amethyst is the third stone in the third row of the High Priest’s breastplate (Ex. 28:19) and the twelfth stone listed in the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:20). It is one of the few stones in which experts agree as to the correctness of the name. The Hebrew word for amethyst, ahlamah, literally means “dream stone,” and it was thought that it induced pleasant dreams. The Greek name for the stone, amethustos (from which we get “amethyst”), literally means “not drunken” and as aforementioned among its other qualities it was believed that the gem guarded one against intoxication. Historically amethyst has been highly valued as a precious stone for the uniqueness of its color, as there are few purple gemstones. …. February’s birth flower is the Violet. Its meanings is this: The Violet symbolizes faithfulness, humility, and chastity. Gifting violets in the Victorian era conveyed the message’ I’ll always be true’. The flower is found in shades of blue, mauve as well as yellow and cream. One must remember that an older English name for the plant is "heartsease." Violets typically have heart-shaped leaves and asymmetrical flowers. True Violets (African Violets are not true violets) have been known for centuries with the ancient Greeks cultivating them about 500 BC or earlier. Both the Greeks and the Romans used Violets for all sorts of things such as herbal remedies, wine ('Vinum Violatum'), to sweeten food and for festivals. The Ancient Greeks considered the Violet a symbol of fertility and love; they used it in love potions. Pliny recommended that a garland of violets be worn above the head to ward off headaches and dizzy spells. Although eatable, Violets should not be taken internally in large doses. The Violet flowers are edible, used in medicines, as a laxative, and the flowers are candied for decoration and used in jellies, etc. Now for other meanings in this creation: You can see the violets and Amethysts in this creation. Here are some special days this month. I didn't put in the groundhog for the second of February because there was not enough room. Therefore, for a holiday day that is even greater in On February 2, I added the one called Candlemas. It is represented by the Candlemas Bells flowers and The candles... The Candlemas Bells flowers are also known as Snowdrop. There is a basket of violets surrounded by the flower. Candlemas Bells (snowdrop) February 2nd celebrates three occasions in Christianity, the presentation of the child Jesus; Jesus’ first entry into the temple; and it celebrates the Virgin Mary’s purification (mainly in Catholic churches). Many people wait until the 2nd of February to take down their Christmas Decorations. Christians see the flower as a symbol of Jesus Christ bringing hope for the world. Candles that are lit during Candlemas also symbolize Jesus as the “light of the world”. There is also a blessing for the candles, on Candle Mas. In Folklore, an angel helped these Candlemas bells to bloom and pointed them as a sign of hope to Eve, who wept in repentance and in despair over the cold and death that entered the world. IT was also thought that on Candle Mass day that if the sun was out there would be 6 more weeks of winter and if it were cloudy winter would be over soon. The German’s (known as Pennsylvania Dutch) that settled in Pennsylvania USA brought this tradition to the USA using the Ground Hog as the bearer of the winter’s longevity on Candlemas. For more information on this Candlemas Celebration check out this link http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/common/candlemas On first Friday in February is Wear Red Day for Women for heart health According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (N.I.H.) in the U.S, Coronary Heart Disease is the “#1 killer of in the United States The lady in red near the birthday cake is represented by this rather new observance. (I thought it humorous that it said” half of the people killed by it are women” so who are the other half?? I would have to say, men) so think it must be as deadly to men as it is to women. But for some reason they observe this for women only I think it ought to be for everyone. February 12 is Lincoln’s Birthday on the 14th of February 14 is St. Valentine’s Day. Sometime between the 12 and 22 is president’s day. George Washington’s birthday really was on the 22 of Feb. It was to celebrate both of those presidents because they were both born in Feb. and both had a holiday that month so congress decided to only have one celebration and have it on weekend. One George Washington who was our first president who helped found this country the other President Lincoln who was instrumental in saving the USA from splitting apart. They can be seen in the upper left-hand corner of this creation. Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras this year is on February 12th (I couldn’t get the pancakes on this one) I put a Mardi Gras clown in the middle of the right side. it is the day before Ash Wednesday and is a day when traditionally all the partying and eating all fatty meats and indulgence food like pancakes with syrup and sausage etc. are eaten often churches have Pancake suppers on this day thus preparing for the about 40-day observation of Lent. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday this year Feb. 26 2020 it is shown in the upper left hand with smoke coming out of the incense burner. On this day often churches observe this with Ash Wednesday Services when ash is mixed with olive oil and stirred together the ashes are put on one's forehead in the form of a cross, and the words said, from Dust he created us to Dust we will return. To remind us our lives are wholly in the Creator's hands. It also reminds us that Jesus is the greater fulfillment of the Passover Tradition. Passover happened when under Moses the Jews were trying to leave Egypt, God would Passover the doors with the Blood on the doorpost and above the door from a sacrificial lamb on them, therefore, all those in that house no harm would come to them. Jesus is our sacrificial lamb pure and perfect who came into the world to take away our sins so if we believe in him we will not perish but have everlasting life. In many churches, each Sunday in Lent is a day of reprieve from the fasting, etc. Of course, no happy birthday would be complete without Cake and Ice cream. Wishing you a wonderful Happy Birthday filled with wonderful blessings and lots of goodies. I hope you found this information fun and informative and even made your birthday month more meaningful. Connie
