She was the 1st horror movie hostess to ever come up with the goth style the inspiration for her look was inspired by Morticia Addams from the Addams family(which was a cartoon in the New Yorker magazine)Grimhilde(the evil queen from Snow White) & the Dragon Lady from a comic book that she read as a child or a teen,but Elvira copied her & for the network that aired Vampira they'd usually ask Maila Nurmi(Vampira)for permission for alot of the other horror movie hosts & hostess,but for Elvira they didn't & in 1989 Maila Nurmi sued Cassandra Peterson(Elvira) for pirating her character & lost the battle,but Vampira's my favorite horror movie hostess because she has a believable look & she has a very seductive look & personality to go along with it plus she looks like Natasha Fatale from Rocky & Bullwinkle.
