Strength,Courage, Faith

1-31-2011....COURAGE is a powerful word that Jesus used many times and is written all over the bible....The word "courage" is from the Greek word "tharrhountes". It means to be bold and confident...... A very similar word in the Greek is "tharseo". It is translated "take courage" or "be of good cheer"........ Immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, Mark 6:51..... But even if you should suffer for "what is right," you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened." Take Courage 1 Peter 3:14........ Serenity Prayer...God grant me the serenity to ACCEPT the things that I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things that I can, and the WISDOM to know the difference.........
