Down on the farm For Kansas's 150'th birthday Jan 29 2011 Joyful226

This is the finished one. The first one was not finished. I was working on this when I got a phone call and hit save accidently. So now this a little more what I was hoping for. The barn looks nearly identical to my Grandpa's barn. The flower garden is always neat to have in Kansas. The sunflowers are our state flower the birds look like meadowlarks the KS state bird. The wheatfield in the background represents two of Kansas nick names.. The Wheat state and "The Bread Basket of the World" Since Kansas produces more hard winter red wheat than any place else in the world including Russia. That is the kind of wheat used in bread making. The old wind mill use to be seen on all farms It would produce water for cattle and horses. I could not find a cottonwood tree to put in this one but that is Kansas state Tree.
